For the supervision and control of installed gas extinguishing systems, a responsible member of the company staff (fire warden), as well as a deputy fire warden, must be appointed in compliance with VdS guidelines. They must ensure compliance with the installer’s operation and maintenance instructions and statutory provisions and conduct the regular checks on the gas extinguishing system required by said VdS guidelines.
Laws, regulations, the statutory accident insurers and the VdS Schadensverhütung GmbH (independent German testing institution for fire protection and security - VdS) require the fire warden and his/her deputy to have well-established knowledge of the components and functions of the system entrusted to them. Their qualification is an important component for maintaining the secure functioning of the fire protection system. As with driving a car, working as a fire warden also requires a kind of driver's license, which can be acquired through theoretical and practical training.
The theoretical part is provided in the form of a two-day intensive seminar at one of the Minimax locations or in a seminar hotel. In a hands-on sessionseveral hours of operator training, directly on site on your gas extinguishing system, are provided. In doing so, Minimax trainers proceed in accordance with the level of expertise of the fire warden and help him to apply the acquired technical knowledge to their system.
The transfer of expertise is based on the specifications of the VdS and the statutory accident insurance funds and is provided irrespective of the manufacturer. Minimax trainers are able to rely on their long-standing professional experience, knowledge and skills. A test at the end of the seminar provides guaranteed learning success to the company placing the trainee.
