Does the central processing unit of your sprinkler system automatically display errors, such as an accidentally closed valve or no water in the reservoir? Then you are obviously already enjoying the benefits of electrical monitoring and no longer need to look up every single fitting in the course of daily checks but just glance at the display of the central unit.

But what happens when an error occurs between two daily checks? Ideally, this fault is routed to a constantly manned location and the employee there immediately takes action to resolve the error.

Solution

The forwarding of fault messages from your sprinkler system to a permanently manned location allows a more rapid response to possible errors and therefore provides better operational safety. Therefore, the directive VdS CEA 4001 would allow daily checks to be omitted.

If in your company you have a continuously occupied site with access to in-house building control technology, then we can set up an error message relay for you. Alternatively, we relay the messages to the VdS-recognized center you have selected. Should you decide to do this, we will install a transmission device at your company where current failure messages will be relayed to the control centre via telephone network.

In the actual event of a fault, the employee at the permanently manned point or monitoring station acknowledges the incoming fault and initiates the execution of an action plan in accordance with you.

  • Setting up the option of failure relay in the FMZ 5000 M+ or other appropriate central unit
  • Installation of automatic dial-up and transfer unit (AWUG)
  • Wiring between the central unit, AWUG and telephone line socket
  • Unlocking of the fault reporting function of the FMZ 5000 M+ or other central unit
  • Support in drawing up an action plan with the operator and storing it at a VdS-approved control centre
  • Amendment of the existing documentation and installation papers
  • Functional testing and briefing
