Data protection statement

Thank you for visiting our websites and for your interest in Minimax. The protection of your privacy is important to us. For this reason your personal data will only be collected and used in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act and other legal regulations on data protection. We guarantee you the purposeful use of all data received.

Automatically stored data

The following data may be stored automatically when you visit our web pages: your IP address and/or the IP address of your Internet Service Provider; the web page which you reached us from; the browser type, operating system and platform, the Minimax pages visited, the access times and the date.

Use of cookies

When you visit some areas Minimax GmbH & Co. KG uses what are known as cookies in order to be able to provide you with more personalised services. Cookies are small text files which a web server can place on your computer in order to identify it. The reason is e.g. to control the link during your visit to web pages or to store settings. You can set up your browser so that it will inform you when cookies are placed. The use of cookies then becomes apparent to you. There is no linking to personal data. With very few exceptions all the web pages can also be used without cookies. You can determine the use and function of cookies yourself by changing your browser settings, and you can also block them completely. Minimax GmbH & Co. KG assumes that you agree to the placing of cookies if your browser allows this to be done.

Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data (such as name, address, telephone number or email address) is only stored if you make it available to us voluntarily, for example when registering, or as part of a survey or competition, to carry out an order, when you request information material or a newsletter, or if you otherwise actively get into contact with us - e.g. by email or by online form. This means that the decision is yours alone as to whether you make data available to us, and if so, which data. In the case of a newsletter your personal profile consists of the details you provide voluntarily. In addition we store your usage behaviour, made anonymous, so that we can improve our services. Evaluations of this data (user and click behaviour) are also made only with it anonymised.

Subject to your express agreement we will also use your data for the purposes of market and opinion research, for marketing or in order to improve our services. For this purpose it may also be necessary for us to pass on your data to allied companies or external service providers as part of the order data processing. In accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act, Minimax GmbH & Co. KG requires the allied companies or the service providers to comply with Minimax GmbH & Co.'s provisions on data protection. We will neither sell your data to third parties nor market it in any other way.

You can cancel your agreement to the use of your data for the purposes of market and opinion research, for marketing or in order to improve our services, at any time.

Traffic analysis

For the statistical evaluation of our website we use Piwik. Piwik uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on computers to allow a statistical breakdown of user data. The data collected by Piwik will not be transferred to other servers or third parties but used anonymously to improve our website services. You can disable the data collection by Piwik here. However, this might lead to a restricted website access.

Use of forms

If you contact us by means of a form on one of the Minimax pages then this process is in principle carried out using 128 bit encryption. If you do not use Minimax GmbH & Co.'s contact forms (which are protected by a 128 bit SSL encryption) but instead use your private email ac-count, then note that you must take your own security precautions in order to ensure the confi-dentiality of your message. Please therefore use the encrypted forms on the Minimax web pages. If the form is not encrypted then there is a technical problem and we cannot accept any liability for the security of your data transfer. You can tell whether a form is encrypted by the presence of the closed "lock" symbol in your browser window.

Right to information

In accordance with current legislation, upon request from you we will advise you in writing as to whether any personal data on you has been stored by us and if so, which data. You also have a right to the correction of inaccurate data and to blocking and deleting.
